President: Gabrielle Godbille-Cardona
Gabrielle is a PhD student in Chemical Engineering working on the development of bio-based biodegradable and recyclable plastics. She is from Kingston, Canada, where she completed her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at Queen’s University. Prior to coming to MIT she also completed a Master’s in Chemical Engineering at McGill University in Montréal. Outside of her studies, she enjoys hiking, playing recreational volleyball, baking, and crochet.

Lori and Steven Lerman Arts Co-Chair*: Alexander Kuptel
Alexander is a PhD student in the System Dynamics group at the Sloan School of Management, where he studies electrification and growth of green energy, especially in developing countries. From La Grange Park, IL, he received a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Notre Dame before coming to MIT. In his free time, he enjoys trivia, music, reading, and Google Maps.

Lori and Steven Lerman Arts Co-Chair*: Sina Fahimi Hanzaei
Sina is an MBA student at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he spends most of his time working with start-ups in a variety of fields including AI, deep tech, and robotics. He previously completed his engineering studies at Johns Hopkins University. Sina is from Toronto and finds Boston weather an improvement despite the general consensus. He enjoys cooking and reading history books in his free time.

*This RA position was created to honor the contributions and legacy of founding Warehouse Housemasters Lori and Steven Lerman who lived at the Warehouse from 2000 to 2010. One of Lori’s many contributions to the Warehouse community was a music program to which she dedicated her talents and resources. Lori and Steve now live in Monterey, California, where Steve is Provost and Academic Dean at the Naval Postgraduate School.
Building RA: Anna Simpson
Anna is a PhD student in the Physics Department. She is from Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan in 2023 with a double major in Physics and Astronomy & Astrophysics. In her free time she enjoys planespotting, figure skating, and cheering on Michigan Wolverines Football!

Building RA: Iqra Nadeem
Iqra Nadeem is currently an MBA student at MIT Sloan. Originally from Pakistan, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Management Science from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Iqra grew up enjoying competitive swimming and now spends her free time cooking, trying out new restaurants, singing karaoke, and going on nature walks. She’s also a longtime fan of The Lord of the Rings and enjoys revisiting the series whenever she can.

Community Chair: Flora Shi
Flora is a PhD student in the EECS department. She is interested in statistical learning and game theory. She grew up in China and did her undergrad at Duke University before coming to MIT. Outside of her research, she enjoys reading novels, watching musicals, and gaming with friends.
Kindness and Outreach RA: Hae Won Lee
Hae Won is a PhD student in the EECS department studying 2D materials and device applications. She is from Seoul, South Korea where she did her undergrad and M.S. Before coming to MIT, Hae Won worked in Samsung Electronics and is happy to be back in the campus. She loves classical music, especially piano pieces so she might be seen frequently in the BSO Symphony Hall or NEC Jordan Hall. She also enjoys cooking, swimming, climbing and travelling.

Secretary: Kimia Noorbakhsh
Kimia is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at MIT, where she is also a member of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). Originally from Tehran, Iran, Kimia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. As a teenager, she won the national swimming championship three times. Beyond her academic pursuits, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and exploring the vibrant city of Boston in her leisure time.

Sports RA : Brad Roberts
Brad is a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Hailing from Edmonton in Alberta, Canada, he received BSc and MSc degrees from the University of Alberta before coming to the United States and MIT. In his free time, he enjoys working out, playing sports, taking long walks, and wondering about the origin of the Universe.

Treasurer: Ashley Vicary
Ashley is a PhD student at MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning, having earned a Master of Applied Science in Data, Economics, and Development Policy from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Economics and Finance from the University of Wollongong, Australia. With over four years at the Reserve Bank of Australia and consulting experience at the World Bank, Ashley brings a rich professional background to his academic pursuits. An Australian adapting to Boston’s chilly winters, Ashley is a sports enthusiast who enjoys tennis, skiing, and other racquet sports. Off the court, he keeps up with The Economist and indulges in K-Pop and K-Dramas.

Webmaster and Technology Officer: Sanghee Lee
Sanghee is a PhD candidate in Computational Science and Engineering (MechE). She is interested in finite element methods, scientific computing, and machine learning. Before coming to the US, she studied Mathematics for her undergrad and Computational Science and Engineering for her master’s in South Korea. In her free time, Sanghee enjoys engaging in various activities such as tennis, running, skiing, and rock climbing. While in Boston, she is eager to explore new sports and experiences, including air pistol shooting, sailing, archery, and more.

Welcoming and Wellness Co-Chair: Dominic Hildebrandt
Dominic is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, where he explores the fascinating interactions between Earth’s interior and surface. Originally from Germany, he completed his undergraduate studies there before earning a Master’s degree in Switzerland and eventually coming to MIT. Dominic loves the outdoors and enjoys activities such as hiking, biking, and running. He also likes cooking, exploring various forms of art, and – as a curious mind – is always open to meandering thoughts.

Welcoming and Wellness Co-Chair: Gabriel Bonnamy
Gabriel is a Masters in City Planning student with a particular focus on improving the energy facility siting process through consensus building. Before joining DUSP, he earned a joint degree in Economics and Geography from the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Gabriel is French but was raised in London – he loves ballroom dancing, baking, gardening and windsurfing!

Cultural Dinner RA: Zoe De Simone
Zoe is a PhD student in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT, where she also earned her Master’s in EECS and Architecture. She grew up in Milan, Italy, and studied Architecture at Cornell for undergrad. Her research focuses on making AI more intuitive and human-aligned. Outside the lab, she loves running along the Charles, biking, playing soccer, cross-country skiing, sailing, and trying new food wherever she goes.
